Bend Beginnings

Bend Beginnings

Wayback when I lived in Bend, during one of my (frequent) visits to the Bend Public Library, one of the Librarians at the Reference desk commented about me spending so much time there that I should apply for a job.

Why was I…stunned by this comment? Why hadn’t I thought of that myself?

I thoroughly enjoyed being in the library and using its resources to research my interests for deeper understanding (and grabbing some fiction on my way out). What better place to spend my working hours than in an environment dedicated to connecting with information? Shortly after, the library hired me, and it didn’t take long for me to realize I would be a librarian someday.
